The Drive Planner is a new calendar-based interface that provides comprehensive placement activity management.

Using the Drive Planner

Accessing the Drive Planner
  1. Log in to your PAT 2.0 administrator account

  2. Navigate to the Drive Planner section from the main dashboard

  3. The calendar view will be displayed by default

Creating a New Round
  1. Select the desired date on the calendar

  2. Click "Add New Round"

  3. Select the associated drive from the dropdown

  4. Fill in round details:

    • Round name/number

    • Time slot

    • Location

    • Required resources

    • Student eligibility criteria

  5. Click "Save" to create the round

Managing Events
  1. Click "Add Event" on the desired date

  2. Select event type (placement/non-placement)

  3. Enter event details:

    • Event name

    • Duration

    • Description

    • Participants

    • Resource requirements

  4. Set visibility options

  5. Save the event

Setting Up Reminders
  1. Select a scheduled round or event

  2. Click "Manage Reminders"

  3. Configure reminder settings:

    • Timing (days/hours before event)

    • Recipient groups

    • Message template

  4. Enable/disable automated reminders

  5. Save reminder settings

Best Practices

  • Regularly update the calendar to maintain accuracy

  • Use consistent naming conventions for drives and rounds

  • Set reminders at least 48 hours in advance

  • Review conflicting events before scheduling

  • Maintain proper categorization of events

Troubleshooting

Common issues and their solutions:

  • Calendar not loading: Clear browser cache and refresh

  • Unable to create events: Check permission settings

  • Reminder not sent: Verify recipient list and email settings

  • Schedule conflicts: Review overlapping events
